Background
PPHE group who owns Park Plaza hotels, with a portfolio of 38 owned and managed hotels, offering over 8,300 guest rooms with approx. 5,000 staff came to Red Umbrella in 2019 looking for an all encompassing approach to their staff mental health training that would specifically look at the challenges of the hospitality industry, as well as making sure that all the trained staff had access to human to human aftercare and support.
Solution
After listening to the client's specific requirements around the pressures of hospitality, especially during the Covid pandemic, Red umbrella provided the client with bespoke mental health management training, mental health first aid training, and a number of bespoke webinars all suited specifically to the hotel and hospitality industry.
Results
The client had an overwhelming response to the roll out of the bespoke management training and the MHFAider training, as well as record attendances for the bespoke webinars.
