How We Treat

What is involved in the treatment process?

Our Treatment Options

Finding a Facility

Finding a Facility

Finding effective treatment is actually very difficult. Although there are numerous clinics to choose from, no two are the same and the treatment programmes, accommodation and promises offered usually turn out to be disappointing.

Day Programs

Day Programs

Day-care programmes offer the same range of treatment as residential care programmes, but you can return home each night if you have obligations to attend to, such as looking after children or dependants, or a job to go to.

Bespoke Care

Bespoke Care

By bespoke, we mean not letting those extremely important issues that you need to take care of while in treatment – such as your relationship with your partner, use of mobiles and access to work – stand in the way of you entering treatment at all.

Family Support Services

Family Support Services

Family therapy is not usually offered by treatment centres. However, when supervised correctly by an addiction counsellor, it can help clear the air of past issues so that you have the support of your family network during recovery.

Post Treatment

Post Treatment

Once your primary treatment has been organised, we don’t just stop caring for you and your long-term recovery. We know that primary residential care is just the start and that you may wish – and we strongly advise it – to move from a primary to a secondary treatment facility, or follow a step down or day-care option.

5 Steps to Effective Care

At Red Umbrella we follow the following steps to ensure you get effective care and rehabilitation. More information on our specific treatment options can be found below.

1

Identification

Through our training we empower employees by providing them with the tools to articulate their feelings, recognise their triggers, spot behavioral changes in others and address the stigma around mental health issues.

2

Assessment

An assessment is needed to ensure the correct diagnosis. This needs to be done swiftly after the identification so issues do not escalate or manifest themselves, compounding the initial symptoms.

3

Diagnosis

Mis-diagnosis is very costly to all. We ensure the correct diagnosis so the appropriate care plan can be put into place.

4

Treatment

Immediate counselling sessions with one of our in-house therapists eliminate wait times and ensures contact with the correct specialist. We also ensure anonymity and minimal absenteeism. In 99% of cases we have dealt with, no absenteeism is required. Should residential treatment be required, the costs are at the discretion of the employee or employer, dependent on a review.

5

Aftercare

People often go back to work too quickly without the correct support. We hold the employee’s hand when reintegrating, suggesting appropriate work hours to HR and offering continued support when needed.
